Cape D Sprint Triathlon | May 18
The Cape D. Sprint Triathlon was established in 2012. The course takes advantage of the beauty of Pacific Americano in Ilwaco, Washington and attracts athletes, travelers, and philanthropists out to support a great cause. A portion of the registration fees benefits the Peninsula Poverty Response, in partnership with Ilwaco Parks and Recreation and SALT Hotel. Runners are invited run along where the Columbian River meets the roaring Pacific Ocean. The course winds around Black Lake Trails, Cape Disappointment Loop, the famous Peninsula cranberry bogs, the Port of Ilwaco and the along the Pacific Ocean overlooks providing stunning views of the coastal landscape! Triathletes are invited to join the event coordinators at the SALT Hotel on the Port of Ilwaco for food and refreshments after the race.
Beach to Chowder Fun Run | June 8
Spend Saturday at the Beach walking or running a 5k or run a 10K on hard-packed beach sand with ocean waves breaking just a few yards away. Work up an appetite with the race of your choice, then get ready to taste clam chowder while your non-participating family and friends enjoy the Peninsula and the Saturday Market on the Ilwaco waterfront. Make it a week of fun and entertainment, attending the Garlic Festival in Ocean Park.
The 8th annual Ilwaco Firecracker 5k fun-walk/run is scheduled for Saturday, July 6th at 9:00 AM at the Port of Ilwaco. Proceeds go to help support the Ilwaco Fireworks display and other Ilwaco Events. There will be water provided at the turn-around and the finish line. The start line is located at the East end of Port of Ilwaco on Outer Harbor Way, Ilwaco, WA. Runners and walkers will follow a route that travels north to Lake Street, then west to Main St, and up the scenic Discovery Trail! There will be race day registration and packet pick up at the Port of Ilwaco starting at 7:30 AM.
Run to End Domestic Violence | August 3
The Run to End Domestic Violence strives to raise awareness and demonstrate support to domestic violence survivors, one step at a time! This race starts and ends at the Train Depot in Long Beach, Washington. This event is open to adults and youth.
