Arrive in Seattle, stay in a hotel in Seattle Southside. National Park Inn

Day 1 – Breakfast at hotel. Your exciting Northwest adventure will begin when your motor coach picks you up from your hotel with your step-on guide service. Depart hotel for Mt Rainier (Earth) that stands 14,410 feet above sea level. Visit beautiful Narada Falls on the way to the Jackson Visitor Center at Paradise. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the visitor center. Spend time exploring informative displays, films, guided ranger programs, and walking trails.  Stay at the National Park Inn in Longmire with Mt. Rainier’s majestic presence as the backdrop. Dinner at Longmire. Enjoy nature walks around the inn.


Adrift HotelDay 2 – Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Mt St Helen’s volcano (Fire). Witness the regrowth of the forest that was destroyed when the volcano erupted in 1980 on the way to Johnston’s Ridge Observatory to learn about this transformative eruption and overlook the crater. Leave Mt St Helens for Long Beach (Water). Lunch along the way. Mayor’s red carpet arrival in Long Beach and check in at Adrift Hotel. Dinner at Pickled Fish overlooking the Pacific Ocean followed by s’mores on the beach and star gazing.

 


OystervilleDay 3 – Breakfast at local Cottage Bakery. Visit Oysterville for a tour of the historic mid-1800s town and enjoy oyster shooters. Visit the Kite Museum and make your own kite (Air). Lunch at the Lost Roo in Long Beach. Visit Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center where Lewis and Clark reached the Pacific Ocean and visit Cape Disappointment Light House. Leave Long Beach in afternoon for Olympic Peninsula. Arrive at Kalaloch Lodge, picturesque oceanfront hotel above the Pacific offering rustic lodge rooms & cabins with no Internet or phones. Dinner at the lodge. 


Kalaloch Lodge

Day 4 – Breakfast at hotel. Depart Kalaloch Lodge.  Drive to Hoh Rain Forest, the most carefully preserved rain forest in the northern hemisphere that has remained unchanged for thousands of years. (Water) Stop in Forks to visit Native to Twilight store and eat lunch. Drive to Hurricane Ridge, the heart of the Olympic National Park to view the mountains and forests. Stay in Port Townsend at historic Fort Warden, an active US Army base from 1902 to 1953 built to protect the Puget Sound from invasion. Dinner at Fort Warden. Ghost tour of Fort Warden optional after dinner.


Pike Place MarketDay 5 –  Breakfast at hotel. Tour of historic Port Townsend with a step-on guide. Free time in downtown to shop artistic boutiques. Return to Seattle via Bainbridge Island Ferry. Boxed lunch on the ferry. (Air) Arrive in Seattle. 3-hour city tour of Seattle including Pioneer Square, Seattle Center and Space Needle, the waterfront, and Pike Place Market. Overnight at Springhill Suites Seattle. Free time in Seattle and dinner on own.
